The Francophone Heritage, Cultural and Tourism Corridor: A legacy of Canada's 150th anniversary

QUEBEC, Feb. 21 2018 / CNW Telbec / - The strength of Canada's Francophonie lies, in particular, in the links that have been forged between communities in all provinces and territories in Canada. The Tourism Corridor, announced today by Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, highlights these efforts as well as the historical contribution of Francophones to the social, cultural and economic development of the country.

In addition to representing significant economic potential, the Corridor promotes Francophone heritage, cultural and tourism products from all provinces and territories, and allows visitors from all walks of life to discover the French face and heritage. communities scattered throughout Canada.

We salute this effort to promote Francophone Canada and its provinces and territories as a destination where our language and culture are promoted.

This project is the culmination of a collaborative effort with the federal government initiated by Quebec and Ontario with the support of the provinces and territories, as part of the Ministerial Conference on the Canadian Francophonie.
